I was born and raised in Appleton, Wisconsin, the youngest of seven kids. At an early age, I immersed myself in activities that fueled my love for words and speaking. Over the last 15 years, I have studied and blogged, and I’m happy to say I’m now living my dream of being an author and speaker. God is good!
I’m married to the love of my life, Jim, who is an amazing man and makes me laugh every single day. I am humbled by his love, inspired by his wisdom, and impressed by all the strange nicknames he comes up with to call me in public. I couldn’t have asked for a better partner to navigate life with! Speaking of navigating, we live in Green Bay, WI, but in the warmer months (yes, Wisconsin does get them) you’ll find us sailing around in Door Country, WI. I hope to be writing books from our sailboat in the Caribbean someday.
I have a beautiful daughter, Kyra, who is the sun in my sky. Besides being intelligent, strong-minded, and hilarious (which she got from me, of course), God has gifted her musically. She loves to sing, write songs, and play her guitar. Her smile is captivating and when she laughs, I laugh too, even if I have no idea what she’s laughing at. Which is kind of a normal occurrence in our house.
And we can’t forget Pip, the newest addition to our family. We adopted her from a local rescue, and she’s the sweetest, most loving little dog I have ever known. She’s an 11-year-old Chiweenie (half Chihauhau, half weiner dog). Jim won’t let me call her a Chiweenie in public. He prefers to tell people she’s a baby Chupacabra – a mythical, blood sucking, dog-like beast. All twelve pounds of her. It’s better for his manhood.
